The company has recognised that the changing nature of British society means that there are more single-parent families and the insurance industry needs to make changes in the products it offers. It is estimated that single parent households now make up over 25 per cent of all families in the UK. The new AA insurance packages will apply to single parents who are divorced or separated or whose children do not permanently live with them.
