Women's car insurance a must for summer journeys
Mon, 27 Jun 2005
Forthcoming summer journeys mean that many female motorists should ensure they have adequate car insurance cover.
The rising temperatures, unfamiliar roads and increased traffic means that many women could face an increased risk of being involved in a collision.
Green Flag Motoring Assistance is stressing that careful planning is the key to ensuring long journeys do not lead to problems.
"When the better weather arrives, families head for the coast and to the many attractions around the country, but this can become stressful if drivers become lost, hot and bothered and have fractious children moaning from the back seat!" said Green Flag spokesperson, Melanie Denny.
"A bit of forward planning before setting off can help make journeys hassle-free and the start to a break more pleasant for everyone."
In particular, motorists should ensure that they take regular breaks whilst travelling in order to remain alert behind the wheel.
