Pay for women's car insurance by direct debit
Tue, 14 Jun 2005
Women could save money by opting to pay for their car insurance via direct debit rather than cheque.
Research from BACS Payment Schemes shows that Britons waste around £1.1 billion a year by not taking advantage of the discounts offered when using direct debits.
"Direct Debits continue to grow in popularity yet millions of people are still not taking advantage of the many benefits available," said Michael Chambers, managing director BACS Payment Schemes Limited.
"In addition to being easy to set up and hassle free Direct Debit payments can also save you money through the discounts on offer."
Using direct debits not only saves money but also ensures that women do not miss making a payment and increasing the risk of driving without valid insurance cover.
