Older people face insurance hike

The over-70s could face a dramatic increase in their car insurance premiums, according to a research.
A leading charity for older people has warned that higher car insurance costs are just part of the ageism affecting almost all aspects of British society.
Age Concern has launched a campaign to tackle the problem
"Our campaign is all about raising awareness of ageism and how it blights older people's lives," Katie Ghose of Age Concern told BBC Breakfast.
"We're told by tens of thousands of older people the impact it has on their lives: they're shoved out of the workplace, denied the opportunities to buy travel insurance, car insurance, just because of their age, and that's what we want to put an end to."
Insurers claim that older people can find competitive cover if they shop around.
