More benefits from women's car insurance than beauty treatments
Thu, 06 Oct 2005
Women are being urged to spend less on beauty treatments and instead benefit from cheaper car insurance. A new survey by Churchill Insurance, estimates that UK consumers spend £10.2 billion a year on various beauty products, however, they could be better saving their money to purchase adequate motor insurance. One in five women spend at least £50 on promise-laded anti-aging creams and own at least ten bottles of different perfumes. A third of those involved in the research also admitted that they waste at least half of their purchases equating to a waste of £1.7 billion per year. "With toiletries getting increasingly expensive
its no wonder households are spending so much money on beauty products," said Churchills Head of Home Insurance, Martin Scott, said He added that consumers "should regularly check the replacement value of their belongings to ensure they have adequate insurance cover".
