More women could be turning to the internet in order to receive advice on the most appropriate car insurance.
The increasing number of money forums on the web means that many women are taking the time to consider which cover is the most suitable and weighing up the various options available to them.
The Financial Times reports that so-called "blogging", the writing of a kind of on-line diary, are providing not only entertainment but also strong financial advice and leading to the development of online friends.
The art of blogging is proving a big hit in the US as more women react to the impersonal advice provided by financial advisors.
The most successful financial example of blogging was created by a woman in New York who published a site detailing her attempts to pay off her $20,000 credit card debt, and appealing for cash. She managed to repay the debt within 20 weeks.
