Don’t underestimate mileage for women's car insurance policies

Female drivers would be well advised not to underestimate their mileage on their insurance policies.
A new survey shows that a third of all motorists are at risk of invalidating their policies by not properly estimating their annual mileage.
The survey by MotorInsurance.co.uk found that four per cent of all motorists frequently underestimate their mileage when taking out a policy, leaving them in danger of not being covered in the instance of an accident, the Glasgow Evening Times reports.
The survey also showed that less than four out of ten motorists checked the previous year’s mileage when calculating their policies.
As many as 12 per cent of the survey’s respondents said that they never checked their annual mileage and therefore did not know whether their estimates were accurate or not.
