The research by the insurance industry found that the technology - which can automatically brake individual wheels if the car is veering Ð is extremely effective in reducing single car accidents. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said that fatalities in these incidents could fall by as much as 56 per cent. Further tests are now expected by the car insurance industry, with the new system holding much promise.
