Attractive Kias push demand for women's car insurance
Tue, 06 Sep 2005
The success of the Kia automaker is likely to push demand for women's car insurance even higher. Kia, whose smaller city models have strong support amongst female motorists, revealed that its overseas retail sales of passenger cars and light trucks totalled 66,537 vehicles in August, a 25.3 per cent increase on the same period in 2004. The first six months of 2005 have seen Kia's sales increase to 543,210 through the first half of the year, representing an increase of 29.1 per cent in sales and 27.7 per cent rise in exports. "Kia Motors continues to be one of steadiest performers in the global automotive industry, experiencing double-digit sales growth in all overseas regions in August," said Kia COO Yong-Hwan Kim. He added that the company is currently updating its range of models and plans to launch a new Magentis next month to meet the growing demand for mid-sized executive cars.
